Our story
Two local dads. One big idea.
We're not a vending corporation. We're two working-class dads from Hilliard and Westerville who saw an opportunity to build something real — a business rooted in our community, run with integrity, and built to last. The name "Oakona" came to us after combining the names of both of our dogs. Seth's dog's name is Kona, and Cory's dog's name is Oakley.
How Oakona Vending got started
Like a lot of good ideas, Oakona Vending started with a simple observation: most vending machines are terrible. They're stocked with things nobody wants, they break down constantly, and when something goes wrong, you're stuck on hold with a 1-800 number.
We knew there had to be a better way. When we discovered HAHA smart vending machines — fully customizable, cashless-ready, and remotely monitored — we saw the opportunity to bring something genuinely useful to businesses in our own backyard.
So we did what working-class dads do: we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. Oakona Vending was born right here in Central Ohio, and we plan to keep it that way.
